2027 AICA Awards

The AICA Awards recognize exceptional projects shaping the future of infill development in Austin.

Entries are now open for our judged award categories, celebrating excellence across building, design, development, and the many disciplines that bring Austin infill projects to life. As our very first awards program, the 2027 AICA Awards are an opportunity to set the standard for thoughtful, well-crafted infill work in our city.

Each submission will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges based on the criteria established for its category.

Free Individual Award Categories

All categories carry an entry fee ($175 for your first entry, $125 for each additional entry) except the four individual awards below, which are free to enter. Because these awards are free, self-nominations are not accepted – each nominee must be nominated by someone else.

Architect/CPBD of the Year – Infill Design

Recognizes an architect's body of infill work. Cannot be self-nominated.

Builder of the Year – Infill Construction

Recognizes a builder's body of infill work. Cannot be self-nominated.

Rising Star Award

Recognizes an emerging builder, architect, or designer new to infill work. Peer-submitted nomination; cannot be self-nominated.

Community Champion Award

Honors an individual who has advanced infill policy or public support. Peer-submitted nomination, voted on by AICA membership; cannot be self-nominated.

Eligibility

The AICA Awards are open to current members of AICA. Membership must be active at the time of entry.

Multiple Entries

You may submit multiple projects and enter a project into more than one eligible category.

A separate entry is required for each category. Each entry is judged independently. Your first entry is $175 and each additional entry is $125. The four free individual award categories are not charged.
